LEVEL III REGIONAL TRAUMA CENTER
Napa County residents and visitors rely on Queen of the Valley Medical Center as the only State designated Trauma Center within 35 miles of the Napa Valley. We provide initial evaluation, stabilization and life saving care to over 30,000 patients a year.
The Queen also serves as the base station for Napa County emergency services connecting emergency ground vehicles, the California Highway Patrol and Med-Evac helicopters. A helicopter landing pad is located just outside Emergency Department doors.
CHEST PAIN CENTER
When your heart’s in trouble, every second is precious, because restoring blood flow is the most important factor in preventing damage to the heart. Opening clogged arteries, fast, is what emergency cardiac medicine is all about. And at the Queen, a carefully orchestrated team pinpoints problems and delivers medications to limit damage to the heart.
Queen of the Valley is also equipped with a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab, ready to treat heart attacks at a moment's notice. Physicians who are board certified in emergency medicine provide 24 hour coverage in the Emergency Department, while more than 100 medical and surgical specialists are on-call around the clock.
